Frequently Asked Questions

My child has a medical issue.  Can Illiana Camp accommodate them?

Illiana Camp has a registered nurse on campus the whole week.  If your child takes regular medication, please send enough for the week with clear instructions.  If your child needs other medical accommodations or allergies, please inform the camp staff. 

 

What age students does Illiana Camp serve?

Illiana Camp is designed for students that are entering 7th grade through graduating high school seniors. 

 

Do I need to provide transportation for my child to the camp?

There will be a group of students leaving Glenns Valley Church Sunday of Camp.  If you would like your child to be transported to camp in this group, please email illianacamp@glennsvalleychurch.org.  You may also drop your child off at the campground in Terre Haute should this option not work for you.  Directions are available. There will also be a group travelling back to Glenns Valley Church in the afternoon on Saturday.  Please plan to pick your child up at Glenns Valley Church on Saturday afternoon.  If you will be making other arrangements for your child’s pick-up, please note that in your email. 

 

How do I pay?

To pay for Illiana Camp, you may write a check to Glenns Valley Church or pay through the GVC website.  Payment is due no later than time of drop-off. 

 

What forms do I need to fill out?

You will need to complete a liability release and medical release for your child. 

All forms must be notarized.  Glenns Valley Church will have a notary available.  If you plan to use this service, please be prepared to sign your forms in person and have ID available.  If you are in need of this service, please contact illianacamp@glennsvalleychurch.org.

What does my child need to bring to camp?
 Bible, notebook, pen, highlighter (these can be provided)
 Facemask
 Sleeping bag/ fitted sheet and blankets
 Pillow
 Play Clothes
 Jacket/Sweatshirt (nights and early mornings can be chilly)
 Sandals
 Tennis shoes
 Towel
 Toiletries
 Any needed medications (these will be turned into the nurse before
leaving the church)


WHAT NOT TO BRING
 Cellphone (You can contact your child through the adults on campus)
 Any electronics
 Weapons of any kind
 Tobacco products, drugs, alcohol
